These terms govern every booking made with Cusco Pathways Adventures S.A.C. (RUC 20615958167), whether through our website, WhatsApp, email, or in person. By booking with us, you accept them in full.
When you make a reservation with Cusco Pathways Adventures — through our website, WhatsApp, email, social media, or in person — you accept these Terms & Conditions in full. Your booking is your agreement.
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect our operations more accurately. We recommend reviewing them before each new booking.
You can book with us via WhatsApp (+51 967 573 231), email (info@cuscopathways.com), or through the enquiry form on our website. When booking, please ensure your full name and passport number match your official ID exactly — this is required for permits, entrance tickets, and train reservations.
A reservation is only 100% confirmed once you receive written confirmation from us and your initial deposit has been verified.
To secure your reservation, an initial deposit is required. This deposit is used immediately to purchase permits, entrance tickets, and reserve campsites, hotels, and train tickets on your behalf with our operating partners, and is therefore non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances, including medical emergencies.
The remaining balance is due in full 10 days before your tour begins. No traveler may start a tour with an outstanding balance.

Please select “OUR” as the fee option with your bank (not “SHA” or “BEN”), so all transfer and intermediary bank fees are covered by you and we receive the full amount. If a partial amount arrives due to bank fees, the difference must be paid separately.

Amount to send (includes 5% PayPal fee): deposit × 1.05.
Example: if your payment is USD 100, please send USD 105 so we receive the full USD 100.
Please note: regardless of the payment method, your booking is confirmed only once the funds have been credited to our account — not at the time you send the payment. Please also send us proof of payment (screenshot or receipt) so we can match it to your booking.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by the person who made the booking. Fees apply based on how close to departure the cancellation is made:

Date changes incur a fee of at least USD $200 per person, to cover the cost of re-purchasing permits and tickets tied to the original date. No refunds are issued for missed briefings, no-shows, or trips interrupted for personal or health reasons once underway.
If a natural disaster, government closure, or event beyond our control prevents us from delivering the service, we will offer an alternative date or itinerary where possible; refunds are not guaranteed in these cases.
Inca Trail permits are issued in your name by the Peruvian government and are personal, non-transferable, and non-refundable — these are national regulations, not agency policy. Once purchased, a permit cannot be reassigned or have its date changed. Book at least 4–6 months in advance, as permits sell out quickly.
Trekking at high altitude involves inherent risk — altitude sickness, weather, terrain, and wildlife among them. By booking, you acknowledge and accept these risks voluntarily. Disclose any existing medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations at the time of booking.
Travelers over 70, or with a relevant medical condition or pregnancy, must provide a medical certificate authorizing participation.
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies and trip cancellation.
If illness or injury prevents you from continuing, our team will assist you to safety; associated costs (evacuation, extra transport, lodging) are the traveler’s responsibility.
Cusco Pathways Adventures is a registered travel agency (RUC 20615958167) that curates and books your trip, working with a network of certified, licensed local operators to deliver each tour on the ground.
We carefully select our operating partners for their safety record and quality of service, and we remain your point of contact before, during, and after your trip. Our financial liability is limited to the total amount you paid for your tour; we are not liable for indirect losses, weather, strikes, natural events, or matters outside our control.
We may photograph or film your trip for use in our marketing — our website, Instagram, Facebook, and brochures — without additional compensation. If you would prefer we did not use your image, let us know by email before your trip begins.
These terms, and any dispute arising from your booking, are governed by the laws of Peru and fall under the jurisdiction of Peruvian courts. Complaints can also be filed through our Complaints Book, as required by Peruvian consumer protection law.
